Trena Clayton Riska

Trena Clayton Riska, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. She was born in Oconee County South Carolina and has been a resident of Burke County for many years. She was a member of the Miracle Baptist Church in Hephzibah and served as the secretary for 19 years. Trena sang in the choir, taught Vacation Bible School, and loved her church family. She never met a stranger and once she met you, you became a part of her family. She loved praising the Lord, traveling, spending time with her family, singing and dancing. There was never a dull moment being around her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Trena was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Clayton; her mother, Sarah Edna Marchbanks; her husband, Dewey Tony Riska, and her grandson, Thomas Williams, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Tina Carpenter (Allie) of Appling, Cynthia Kilgore (John) of Keysville, and Scotty Mack of Keysville; eight grandchildren, Dianna, Debra (Brandon), Stevie, Niki (Andrew), Brad (Amiee), Hailey, Whitney (Josh), and Ronnie (Laura); 11 great grandchildren, Phoenix, Braleigh, Devi, Aiden, John Thomas, Holly, Chevy, Nova, Landen, Ansleigh, and Violet; one great great grandchild, Wyatt; and a brother, Tommy Clayton (Mercy); and two nieces.

Memorial Services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, June 20 at Miracle Baptist Church with Rev. John Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
