Thomas Daniel Sharpe

June 26, 1944 — January 21, 2012

Waynesboro, Ga- Thomas Daniel Sharpe, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 21, 2012, after a long battle with Leukemia.

Thomas was born in Millen, GA to the late Milledge Charles and Vera Hall Sharpe on June 26, 1944.

Mr. Sharpe is survived by his two children; Jeanne Sharpe and Justin Sharpe both of Waynesboro. In addition to his children are his grandson, James Thomas Taylor, his brother, Donny Sharpe (Gwen) of Waynesboro, and his sisters Bobbie Jean Macky (the late George) of Augusta, Joanne Swan ( the late Alex) of Waynesboro, and Mary Alice Quintin(Regis) of Augusta, and sister-in-law Linda Sharpe of Waynesboro. He was preceded in death by his brother, M.C. Sharpe, Jr.

Thomas was a farmer and mechanic. He worked for many years at Burke Lawn and Power in Waynesboro. Prior to that, he worked for Cordell Northcutt and M.C.'s Store and worked in the pulp wood industry.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, January 23 at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, January 24 at Botsford Baptist Church, 825 Botsford Church Rd. Waynesboro, Ga. The Reverend Wayne Dixon and the Reverend Jerry Sharpe will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Jones, James Evans, Aaron Graves, Chad Bennett, Woodrow Harvey, Jr., Brandon Whaley, and Jonathan Johns.
