Sarepta "Tippie" Usher

Sarepta “Tippie” Usher, 98, entered into eternal rest on February 3, 2023, at her residence. Tippie was born in Glascock County on January 19, 1925, to the late J.A. and Nancy Wilkins Cooper.  She was a longtime resident of Burke County and a member of Green’s Cut United Methodist Church. Tippie was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Luther Usher, Sr.; son, William Luther Usher, Jr.; sisters, Helen C. Drew, Sarah C. DeLaigle, and Eunice “Dot” Quick.

Surviving are her son, David Usher (Brenda) of Johns Creek, GA; granddaughter, Brandi Powell (Travis) of Waynesboro; grandsons, William P. Usher (Kyle) of Evans and Jackson D. Usher of Atlanta; four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Burke Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Jerry Sharpe officiating.

Memorial contributions in Tippie’s memory may be made to Green’s Cut United Methodist Church.
