Waynesboro, GA – Sara Rollins DeLaigle, 85, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Brentwood Terrace Health Center.
She was born in Burke County on November 29, 1929 to the late Rufus E. Rollins, Sr. and Daisy Coursey Rollins.She was a life-long resident of Burke County, a member of Botsford Baptist Church, and for many years served as Deputy Superior Court Clerk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond N. DeLaigle, Sr; a son, Bill D. DeLaigle; a sister, Pansy Burke; and three brothers, J.P. Rollins, R.E. Rollins, Jr., and Dewey Rollins.
Mrs. DeLaigle is survived by a son, Raymond "Nick" DeLaigle, Jr. (Dale); four grandchildren, April D. Campbell (Rodney), Brooke D. Duncan (Jamie), Tracey D. Ouzts (Brian), and Raymond N. DeLaigle III (Dawn); six great grandchildren, Madeline Duncan, Mason Duncan, Shelby Ouzts, River Campbell, Madison Meadows, and Raymond "Buck" DeLaigle IV; two sisters in law, Inez Rollins and Jean Rollins; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at Burke Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 26, 2015 with visitation following at the graveside. Rev. Wayne Dixon and Rev. Harry Coursey will officiate. Pallbearers will be R.E. Rollins, III, Mike Burke, Chris Rollins, Charlie DeLaigle, Vinson DeLaigle, and Sheriff Greg Coursey.
