Ruby Sikes Quick, 82, entered into rest Monday, August 3, 2026. She was born in Waynesboro to the late Ashley Mack Sikes and Myrie Sikes. She worked as an accountant for Lovett-Quick trucking. Ruby was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Oxford, AL. She was known as one of the best cooks around because she always used fresh produce and never took shortcuts. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who was loyal and deeply committed to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lovett Lester Quick, Sr; and son, Lovett Lester Quick, Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Quick (Sandra) and Greg Quick (Kelly) both of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren, Ashley Hancock, Joseph Quick (Joyce), Morgan Chavous (Shay), Dalton Quick (Hannah), Ty Quick, Aubrey Quick, Cody Quick; three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Quick, Sawyer Chavous, Lennox Chavous.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, August 6 in the chapel of Deloach-Mckerley-Prescott Funeral Home with Chris Mobley officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Pall bearers will be Patrick Quick, Joey Quick, Russell Flakes, Jason Flakes, Neil Quick, and Troy Quick..
Remembrances may be made to the Center for New Beginnings.
