Nan Bargeron Buxton, 79, entered into rest Saturday, January 22, 2022. She was born in Millen and has been a lifelong resident of Burke County. She was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church. Nan retired from MCG after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.S. and Lois Bargeron.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wayne Buxton; two daughters, Lynn Murray of Sardis and Dana Lawson of Daniel Island, SC; three grandchildren, Mary-Lynn Pennington of Statesboro, Ben Lawson of Charleston, SC, and Luke Lawson of Charleston, SC; and a brother, Steve Bargeron of Waynesboro.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00pm Friday, January 28 at Burke Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roy White and Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating.

Remembrances may be made to the Sardis United Methodist Church.
