Mr. Claudie "Knocker" Stewart, Jr.

Mr. Claudie “Knocker” Stewart, Jr., 77, entered into rest Thursday, May 5, 2022. He was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. He was a former employee of Babcock/Thermal Ceramics. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and fishing. Claudie was preceded in death by his father, Claudie Stewart, Sr.; his mother, Carrie Amerson; a daughter, Penny Newsome; and siblings, Jimmy Stewart, Willie Stewart, Eunice Allen, and Gertrude Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Stewart; four children, Brandi Stewart, Joshua Wall, Stevie Stewart, and Lynn Ready; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; an uncle, James Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Monday, May 9 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Matthews. The family will receive friends from12:00pm until the time of the service.

Pallbearers will be Jody Collins, Scotty Collins, Jim Bo Stewart, JP Stewart, Carlos Montero, and Keith Major.
