Michael "Mike" Joyner, 72, the son of the late Albert and Willie Mae Joyner, entered to rest Thursday, May 13, 2021. Mr. Joyner was a native and longtime resident of Jenkins County. He was a member of the Green Fork Baptist Church, a retired mechanic, truck driver, and farmer. Mr. Joyner enjoying fixing things.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Joyner; a daughter, Felicia Daughtry; his siblings, Walter Joyner, Tommy Joyner, Wilbur Joyner, Joan Reynolds, Gail Williamson, and Carleen Jenkins.
Surviving are his children, Melinda Phillips of Statesboro, Mickey Joyner of Millen, Teresa Henley of Kentucky, Justin Joyner of Kentucky, James Lanier, Jr. of Dublin, Doug Lanier (Cindy) of Tennessee, Jessica Arms of Twin City, Charlie Lanier (Ashlie) of Millen, Mason Lanier (Jillian) of Perkins, Megan McGee (Darren) of Swainsboro; his brother, Junior Joyner of Millen; 23 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm Sunday, May 16 at DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 11am Monday, May 17 in the DeLoach-McKerley- Prescott Chapel with the Reverend Wes Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen City Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Albert Joyner, Mark Joyner, Dwayne Flakes, Robbie Reynolds, Bobby Williams and Chad Watson.
