Linda F. Hickman, 74, entered into rest Friday, January 23, 2026. She was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. She was a faithful member of Botsford Baptist Church, where she was actively involved in the WMU and joyfully served whenever a need arose. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Jesse Perry; and a sister, Mary Jane Ellison.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Hickman; four children, Kevin Flakes (Kathy),Travis Flakes (Adina), Dawn Hickman Price (Mark), and Lawton Hickman (Heather) all of Waynesboro; 12 grandchildren, Brittany Clayton (Josh),Krissie Morris (David),Erica Flakes, Ryan Stone (Paige), Cody Willis (Katelyn), Leland Flakes, Gabrielle Flakes (Christian), Jolie Lagman, Amanda Price (Ryan), Matthew Price, Will Hickman, and Annie Hickman; 12 great grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Perry, Jack Perry, and Carl Perry; two sisters, Inez Parkerson and Lois Waller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was the very definition of a godly woman. A devoted homemaker, she found her greatest joy in caring for others. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and love, where no one ever left hungry or unloved. She had a true gift in the kitchen and cherished the time spent cooking alongside her grandchildren, patiently teaching them, laughing with them, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Linda was also a talented crafter who took great pride in using her creativity to serve the Lord. From beautiful arrangements to thoughtful decorations, she lovingly poured her heart into her church, ensuring everything reflected care, excellence, and reverence. Her hands were rarely still, always busy doing something for someone else.
Above all, Linda loved her family deeply and faithfully lived out her Christian walk each day. Her life was a testimony of service and unwavering faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion that will continue to live on through her family, her church, and all who were blessed to know her.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00pm Tuesday, January 27 at Botsford Baptist Church with Bill Lively officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons.
Remembrances may be made to Botsford Baptist Church.
