Lewis "Lou" Vaughn III

Lewis “Lou” Vaughn III, 81, entered into rest Thursday, July 30, 2026. He was a native of Conroe, TX and a longtime resident of Burke County. He was a veteran of the US Army and was the owner of Vaughn Car Care. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Bradley Vaughn; and a stepsister, Fern Mitchell.

He is survived by two children, Lewis Vaughn IV of North Augusta and Rebecca Newman of Graniteville; four grandchildren, Lewis Vaughn V, Ivy Quinn Vaughn, Jana Newman, and Parker Newman; a brother, Bradley Vaughn of Denton, TX, and a stepbrother, Gene Martin (Linda) of TX.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, August 8 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bruce Allen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Remembrances may be made to the Wounder Warrior Foundation.
