Kathi Jenkins

Kathi Jenkins, 74, entered into rest Sunday, October 27, 2024. She was born in Bremerhaven, Germany and has been a longtime resident of Burke County. She was retired from Gracewood Federal Credit Union. Kathi loved to travel, always wanted to help others, was strong-willed, and fought until the end. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edward Jenkins; her parents, Herma and Frank Vandegrift; a brother, Chuck Vandegrift; and a sister, Hanna Vandegrift.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Blackburn (Jack) of Hephzibah; four grandchildren, Briceton Blackburn, Brenton Blackburn, Macayla Blackburn, and Mackenzie Blackburn all of Hephzibah; a brother, Henry Vandegrift of Greenville, SC, a sister, Theresa Cohn of Blythe; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, October 29 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, October 30 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Bruce Allen officiating.

Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
