Jorge L. Guerrero Zarate

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Jorge L. Guerrero Zárate, who departed for his new life—free from pain—on the night of Saturday, August 8, 2026, surrounded by his family and beloved pets.

Born in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Jorge was a deeply cherished husband, father, brother, and friend. The son of Jorge Guerrero Buenrostro and María Guadalupe Zárate Cano, and brother to Cesar, Adriana, Rosana, and Arturo, he left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him through his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and joy.

He immigrated to the United States in 1999 and established his home in Waynesboro, Georgia, in 2001. There, alongside his wife of 35 years, Veronica Ramirez Sanchez, he built a life filled with hard work, family, music, and unforgettable memories. Jorge was a proud father to his three children—Jonatan, Hector, and Jennifer Guerrero Ramirez. He always supported them, celebrated their achievements, and taught them the value of hard work, the importance of loving family, the drive to pursue their dreams, and the resolve never to give up.

He was a hardworking man who enjoyed fixing, building, and improving everything around him. He had a deep love for music—a passion born in Mexico that he shared with his children. He enjoyed good food—especially tacos and pozole—as well as family gatherings, barbecues, movies, jokes, and, of course, dancing to a good cumbia.

Those who knew Jorge will especially remember his smile, his witty remarks, and his unique way of making others feel welcome.

Jorge leaves behind much more than memories. He leaves his music, his teachings, his jokes, everything he built with his own hands, and, above all, the love he planted within his family. His family hopes that when you think of Jorge, you do not simply dwell on the sadness of his loss, but instead listen to good music, enjoy some tacos, share a joke, or gather around a table with the people you love. This is how Jorge would like to be remembered: with love, joy, and a celebration of life.

We trust that God has welcomed him into His arms, and we ask Our Lady of Mount Carmel to accompany and protect him on his journey toward eternal life, while Saint Michael the Archangel guides and watches over him until he reaches the presence of our Lord.

Rest in peace, Jorge. Your family will always hold you close in their hearts. Until we meet again.

Following the Mass, there will be a reception where family and friends can gather, share memories and stories, and celebrate Jorge’s life together.

The family requests that attendees do not wear black; instead, please wear casual attire.

Con profundo amor y tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Jorge L. Guerrero Zárate, quien partió hacia su nueva vida, libre de dolor, la noche del sábado 8 de agosto de 2026, rodeado de su familia y de sus amadas mascotas.

Nació en San Miguel Allende, México, Jorge fue un esposo, padre, hermano y amigo profundamente querido. Fue hijo de Jorge Guerrero Buenrostro y María Guadalupe Zárate Cano y hermano de Cesar, Adriana, Rosana y Arturo, y con su amabilidad, generosidad, sentido del humor y alegría dejaron una huella en todos los que tuvieron la fortuna de conocerlo.

En 1999 llegó a los Estados Unidos y en 2001 estableció su hogar en Waynesboro, Georgia. Aquí construyó junto a su esposa por 35 años, Veronica Ramirez Sanchez, una vida llena de trabajo, familia, música y recuerdos inolvidables.

Jorge fue un padre orgulloso de sus tres hijos, Jonatan, Hector y Jennifer. Siempre los apoyó, celebró sus logros y les enseñó a trabajar duro, amar a la familia, perseguir sus sueños y nunca rendirse.

Era un hombre trabajador que disfrutaba arreglar, construir y mejorar todo lo que encontraba a su alrededor. Amaba profundamente la música, una pasión que nació en México y que también compartió con sus hijos. Disfrutaba de la buena comida, especialmente los tacos y el pozole; de las reuniones familiares, las carnes asadas, las películas, las bromas y, por supuesto, una buena cumbia para bailar.

Quienes conocieron a Jorge recordarán especialmente su sonrisa, sus ocurrencias y esa manera tan suya de hacer sentir bienvenidos a los demás.

Jorge deja mucho más que recuerdos. Deja su música, sus enseñanzas, sus bromas, todo aquello que construyó con sus propias manos y, sobre todo, el amor que sembró en su familia.

Su familia desea que, cuando piensen en Jorge, no recuerden solamente la tristeza de haberlo perdido, pero escuchen buena música, coman unos tacos, Cuenten un chiste, o reúnanse alrededor de una mesa con las personas que aman. Así es como a Jorge le gustaría ser recordado: con amor, con alegría y celebrando la vida.

Confiamos en que Dios lo ha recibido en sus brazos, y pedimos a la Virgen del Carmen que lo acompañe y proteja en su camino hacia la vida eterna, mientras San Miguel Arcángel lo guía y lo cuida hasta llegar a la presencia de nuestro Señor.

Descansa en paz, Jorge. Tu familia te llevará siempre en el corazón.Hasta que volvamos a encontrarnos.
