John Couch

John Lewis Couch, 79, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at his residence. John was born on July 8, 1946, to the late Edward Couch and Dolly Reese Couch. He was a hard-working man who lived a simple life. John was a retired truck driver who enjoyed NASCAR and football. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Nance and Betty Lewis; and three brothers, William Richardson, Edward Richardson, and Micheal Couch.

Surviving are his longtime companion, Nora Newsome; son, Jeffery Couch; grandchildren, Adrianna Couch, Samuel Couch; stepdaughters, Tina Bracknell, Tonya Sanders, Pam Gwinn; sister, Carolyn Autry; brothers, Dan Couch, David Couch; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, March 4 at Hephzibah-Vance Cemetery. Rev. Andy Ferrell will officiate.
