John Travis Atkinson
June 20, 1958 — January 20, 2024
John Travis Atkinson, 65, entered into rest Saturday, January 20, 2024. He was born to the late Bessie and Eldridge Atkinson and was a longtime resident of Burke County. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by two children, Trisha Atkinson Sikes (Charlie) of Waynesboro and John Atkinson, Jr. (Michaela) of Waynesboro; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; longtime companion, Rhonda Posey; and best friend, Larry Buxton.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, January 26 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held 2:00pm at Keysville United Methodist Church Cemetery with Curt St. Germaine officiating.
