Joanne Lawson Richardson

Joanne Lawson Richardson, age 87, of Waynesboro, entered into rest Friday, October 10, 2025, after a brief illness. She lived most of her life in Waynesboro and was member of Rosemont Baptist Church in Waynesboro. She worked in the banking industry for many years. She and her husband, Jimmy, enjoyed traveling and antiquing. Joanne loved her entire family with all of her heart. She loved all the family gatherings and loved to cook for them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Joe Lawson; her husband, Jimmy Richardson; and a grandson, Aaron Franklin Goodin.

She is survived by two children, Jimmy Franklin Richardson, Jr. (Vivian) of Dahlonega, GA and Jennifer Ann Richardson Fox (Gary) of Cleveland, GA; seven grandchildren, Danny Richardson of Winder, GA, Duane Richardson (Kara) of Elijay, GA, David Richardson (Christie) of Waverly, GA, Lindsey Richardson of Lawrenceville, GA, Justin Richardson (Randi) of Oakwood, GA, Brandon Goodin (Michelle) of Whispering Pines, NC, and Meghan Flanagan (Shawn) of Jacksonville, FL; ten great-grandchildren, Bryte Leadbeater, Britton Richardson, Brayson Richardson, Jackson Weston, Shelby Weston, Avery Weston, Cardin Richardson, Eliza Richardson, Harlie Richardson, and Amora Goodin; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 2:00pm Thursday, October 16 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Flowers and Rev. Bruce Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Danny Richardson, Duane Richardson, David Richardson, Justin Richardson, Brandon Goodin, and Shawn Flanagan.
