George A. Blackstone

November 17, 1939 — November 15, 2019

Hephzibah-Mr. George Allen Blackstone, 79, entered into rest Friday, November 15, 2019, at his residence. Mr. Blackstone was born in Richmond County and was a lifelong resident of Burke County. Mr. Blackstone had formerly worked for the Sibley Mill and was retired from the Murray Biscuit Company. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his sisters, Mellie Morris of Orlando, FL, Ruth Perry, and Hattie Moore both of Waynesboro. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2019, in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in the Blackstone Family Cemetery on Fort Gordon.
