Frankie Blackburn Hall, 91, departed from her earthly home for her heavenly home on December 17, 2025. She was born to Lois and Grady Wilson on September 25, 1934, in Jenkins County. In 1963, along with her husband, Jimmie Blackburn, Frankie co-founded Delta Termite & Pest Control– a business that she was passionate about through the decades. Beyond Delta, she was a talented florist serving the community around Burke County. She owned two gift & flower shops, Waynesboro Florist and The Briar Patch. In addition to her parents, Frankie was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie D. Blackburn; her husband, Rufus E. Hall; her son, James Richard Blackburn; and her granddaughter, Josi Anna Blackburn.
Frankie was an ever-loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was marked by sharing & creating joy with friends & strangers alike. She set an example of faith in the Lord during times of plenty as well as want. Frankie loved gathering around the table with her family, always bringing the most coveted dishes to share. She told wonderful, long stories and notably ended every visit or phone call with “just one more thing”. She will be remembered for her deep love for people rooted in the Lord, sheer determination in all circumstances, and contagious giggle.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Jan) Blackburn of Waynesboro; daughter-in law, Jeanie Blackburn; her five grandchildren, Jason (Caroline) Blackburn, Ben (Leigh) Blackburn, Janna (Brad) Mobley, Anna Marie Blackburn, and Sally Kate (Adam) Belflower; five great-grandchildren, Sadie Chance, John Luke Chance, Mills Blackburn, Carson Blackburn, and Bennett Blackburn - many of whom knew her as “BB”. Frankie is survived by fond relatives, “Aunt Miriam” and Robbie as well as special friends and travel buddies, Geraldine and Betty.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, December 18 at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Lively officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Edmund Burke Academy Building Fund.
