Doris C. Griner Lee

Doris C. Griner Lee, 83, entered into rest Wednesday, November 19, 2025. She was born in Albany to the late Marion and Camilla Daniel Griner and has been a longtime resident of Waynesboro. She was a homemaker and her primary focus was her sons and her beloved husband, J.T., who she is now reunited with. Doris was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was loved dearly by her church family. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. She loved crocheting, making cakes, and giving little gifts to people. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Lee; a sister, Thora Weaver; and a brother, Dan Griner.

She is survived by a son, Johnny Lee (Julie) of Lawrenceville, GA; two granddaughters, Kayla Lee and Jana “Alyna” Lee both of Lawrenceville; two brothers, Dennis Griner (Tomoko) of Jacksonville, FL and Butch Wright (Beverly) of Albany, GA; three “adopted grandchildren”, Dean Parrish, Kynlie DeLaigle, and Emma Cate Brinson; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, November 22 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Eric Schievenin officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Remembrances may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
