Donnie Mann Poole

September 1, 1955 — July 26, 2025

Cedar Crossing, GA – Donnie Mann Poole, 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at his home in Waynesboro, Georgia. He was born on September 1, 1955, in Toombs County, Georgia and graduated from Toombs Central High School, where he was a standout basketball player. Donnie lived a life as rich and full as a slice of Pineland Bakery's red velvet cake – a treat he adored and frequently "rescued" from its shelves. An avid outdoorsman and legendary deer hunter, Donnie found great joy and peace in the woods. He was an industrial coatings specialist and spent most of his adult life in Burke County.

He is survived by his loving sons and their wives, Mann and Lisa Poole of Newnan, Stacey and Robin Poole of Swainsboro, and Dr. Brad and Ashley Poole of Tennille; two brothers and their wives, Johnny and Shelby Poole and Tommy and Ilse Poole all of Cedar Crossing; and his sisters, Betty Poole and Ann Pittman and Dwayne all of Cedar Crossing. Donnie was a proud grandfather and is survived by his beloved grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lucy Mann Poole; and his brother, Jimmy Poole.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with Rev. Reece Mincey officiating. A reception for family and friends to share their favorite memories will be held at the church immediately following the service.
