Donald Baker

Donald Baker, 80, entered into rest Friday, July 12, 2024. He was born in Millen to the late Dorothy and Samuel Baker and was a lifelong resident of Sardis. He attended Corinth Christian Church in his younger days. Donald was an avid outdoorsman. He retired from Sylvania Yarn System after 46 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred L. Baker; a son, Chris Baker; and sister, Carolyn Dixon.

He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Williams (Jerry) of Jenkins County; a son, Brandon Baker (Amanda) of Sardis; three grandchildren, Molly Arnold (Josh) of Jenkins County, Ethan Baker of Sardis, and Evan Baker of Sardis; two great grandchildren, Emeila Arnold and Brentley Arnold both of Jenkins County; his fur baby, Rocky; and a host of stepchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday, July 14 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held 11:00am Monday, July 15 at Sardis Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Jesse Sadler officiating.
