Debra Sasser, 83, entered into rest Wednesday, February 17, 2021. She was born in Waynesboro to the late Willie Mae and Twid Quick and has been a lifelong resident of Waynesboro. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, sewing, and was a very good cook. Debra was very generous and had a good sense of humor. She loved her family especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Sasser; five brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by three children, Mike Sasser (Amy), Randy Sasser, and Joy Rowell (Rusty) all of Waynesboro; six grandchildren, Daniel Sasser (Emily), Alan Sasser, Amy Sasser, Casey Sasser, Whitney Diehl (Adam), and Will Rowell; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey Hunt (Steve) of Columbia, SC and Jane Neely of Augusta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private family funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday, February 26 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel followed by public graveside services at 12:00pm Friday, February 26 in Burke Memorial Gardens.
Remembrances may be made to the Center For New Beginnings.
