Charles Tony Rogers, 59, entered into rest Tuesday, July 12, 2016. He was born in Baxley, GA but has been a resident of Waynesboro for the past 35 years. He retired as a welder from Union Ironworker Local 709. He was a Baptist by faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Mae Floyd Powell and Charles Edward Rogers.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Rogers; a son, Charles Neil Rogers; a daughter, Jessica Reynolds; a stepson, Chris Strickland; a stepdaughter, Jessie Strickland; twelve grandchildren; a sister Barbarann Rogers of Gray, GA; several nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, James Davis.

Memorial Services will be held 11am Friday, July 15 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wilma Byrd will officiate.
