Billy Joe Brown

Billy Joe Brown, 71, entered into rest Sunday, March 6, 2022. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Sardis. Billy Joe retired from being a tree surgeon and large equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy and Louise Brown; brothers, Johnny Mac Brown, Leroy Brown, and Robert Brown; and grandson, Bruce Redd.

He is survived by his wife, Summer Brown; a son, Billy Ray Brown of Augusta; four daughters, Pookey Oglesby (Timmy) of Sardis, Teresa Black (Shawn) of Girard, Christian Shuman (Blake) of Metter, and Dezarea Caraballo (Michael) of Savannah; nine grandchildren, Brittney, Charles, Samantha, Shelby, Jessica, Tristian, Peyton, Logan, and Roxanne; four great-grandchildren, Aden, Lily, Abigail, and Larry; two sisters, Patsy Brown of Sardis and Dorothy Sims of South Carolina; one brother, Larry Brown of Oliver; and his little brother from another mother, Kenneth Graves.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 ^th at the funeral home. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11 ^th at St. Mark Cemetery in Sardis.
