Betty "Tee" Holton Fort

Betty “Tee” Holton Fort, 52, entered into rest Sunday, August 9, 2026. She was born in Augusta and has been a longtime resident of Sardis. She was a giving and kind person who never met a stranger. Tee loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She had a magnetic personality and was an unforgettable person. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and daughter. She was preceded in death her father, Sidney Holton; and her daughter, Jessica Carroll.

She is survived by a son, Thomas Sowell (Maci) of Girard; five grandchildren, Hayden Sowell, Colton Sowell, Drake Sowell, Bentley Sowell, and Mylee Oglesby; her mother, Sharon Raby (Steve) of Girard; a brother, Cecil Holton (Jamie) of Senioa, GA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held 1:00pm Monday, August 17 in the funeral home chapel with John Thomas Kitchens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
