Betty Parker Robinson

May 26, 1928 — January 25, 2023

Betty Parker Robinson, 94, the daughter of the late Marian and Millard Parker, entered into rest Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was a native and lifelong resident of Sardis. She was a member of the Sardis Methodist Church, where she helped with Vacation Bible School and was in the Joy Sunday School Class. Betty was the owner operator of Parker Robinson Department Store. She was former member of the Eastern Star. Betty was the matriarch of her family always serving others. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, Nana, sister and aunt. She set the bar high & taught her family many valuable lessons by the example she set. She will be loved and missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Robinson; a son, Mike P. Robinson and his wife Donna; granddaughter, Emily R. Oglesby; and three siblings, Mickey Parker, Sybil R. Jenkins, and Willie Alice Mills.

She is survived by two daughters, Harriett R. Dixon (Grady) of Sardis and Brenda R. Roberts (Fred) of Sardis; seven grandchildren, Chip Dixon (Tonya) of Sardis, Hal Dixon of Sardis, Ginger R. Bridgers (Jay) of Sylvania, Greta D. Timms (Josh) of Sardis, Elliott Robinson (Rachel) of Sardis, Lindsay R. Garrett (Josh) of Macon, and Matt Roberts (Jess) of Augusta; 14 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy M. Parker (Janie) of Sylvania and Frankie D. Parker (Constance) of Sardis; a sister, Kathryn Graham of Sardis; many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved; and three of her nieces who held a special bond and love, Rolene Oliver, Wanda Beard, and Kathi Farris.

Memorial Services will be held 12:00pm Saturday, January 28 at the Sardis Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Sirmons, Rev. Josh Garrett, and Rev. Sonny Moon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

We would also like to thank Dr. Bonnie Jenkins for the many years of love, care, and friendship shown to our mother and us. Also, St Joseph Hospice, Terri, Kim, and Belinda our time together may have been brief but your care will always be remembered with love and gratitude.

Remembrances may be made to Sardis Methodist Church.
