Betty Hillis Belk

Betty Hillis Belk, 80, entered into rest Wednesday, February 21, 2024. She was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. She retired from The True Citizen and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Alexander.

She is survived by three children, Patrick Belk (Kim) of Alexander, Pam Mallard (Jeff) of Girard, and Rodney Belk (Hayley) of Alexander; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; four siblings, Anne Wallace of Coral Gables, FL, Charlie Hillis (Tommie Nell) of Sardis, Herbert Hillis (Joyce) of Alexander, and Mary Waters (Carol) of Alexander; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Monday, February 26 with funeral services following at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tony McDaniel, Greg Hillis, Patrick Chance, Dustin Salvatore, Daniel Jenkins, and Ken Waters.
