Austin Matthew Wingate

Austin Matthew Wingate, 24, entered into rest Monday, May 15, 2023. He was a native and lifelong resident of Waynesboro and was a 2017 graduate of Burke County High School. He was a US Navy veteran, serving in Norfolk, VA and was currently working as a security officer for Southern Nuclear.

He is survived by his wife, Jade Wingate; his parents, Lisa and Brian Wingate of Waynesboro; his sister, Tayler Wingate of Aiken, SC; two brothers, Matthew Burnside of Augusta, and Lane Burnside of Columbia, SC; many cousins; and his dog, Bleu.

Memorial Services will be held 6:00pm Thursday, May 18 in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
