Anita Wren Hillis, 79, entered into rest Wednesday, March 25, 2026. She was a native of Vidette and a longtime resident of Savannah before moving to Gainesville, GA in 2023. She was a member of Gough Baptist Church. Anita enjoyed collecting antiques and traveling abroad. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Farris Lamar and Isabelle Chance Wren.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ashley Hillis; a daughter, Shannon Hillis of Gainesville; three siblings, Phillip Wren, Buddy Wren, and Jerrie Dixon all of Waynesboro; and twelve nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 1:00pm Monday, March 30 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held 2:00pm Monday, March 30 at Rose Dhu Cemetery in Vidette.

Remembrances may be made to the Gough Baptist Church.
