Albert Holland

Albert Holland, 78, entered into rest Tuesday, September 5, 2023. He was born in Girard to the late Sarah and Joseph Ira Holland and has been a lifelong resident of Burke County. In his younger years, he enjoyed to hunt and fish. He loved gardening and high school football, having kept the stats for the Burke County Bears for many years. Albert loved to laugh and have a good time. He loved people and his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Aaron Hubert Holland and Carl Holland.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sally Holland; three sons, Brian Holland of Waynesboro, Matthew Holland (Debbie) of Grovetown, and Joshua Holland (Alana) of Waynesboro; four granddaughters, Maddie Grace Holland, Brooklyn Sara Holland, McKenna Faith Holland, and Emma Shaw Holland; a sister, Kay Purser (Tommy) of Hazlehurst, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Stefen Eastmead and Daniel Wiggins, thank you both for all your help and special friendship.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Saturday, September 9 at First Baptist Church with Memorial Services following at 2:00pm.

Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to the Women’s Ministry of First Baptist Church.
